Sit On Sheepskin
Sheepskin is a unique natural insulator
It helps to keep you cool and dry in the summer heat and
warm and toasty in the winter cold.
Wool's ability to absorb moisture through its shaft wicks the moisture
(perspiration) from your skin. Air circulating in and around the wool
fiber evaporates the wet helping to keep you dry and comfortable.
Millions of springy wool fibers keep you separated from your seat's
leather, vinyl, or cloth upholstery as you ride on a cushion of air.
The air space insulates you from the seat and maintains your body
temperature. No more burnt buns and summer sweaty backs that get
"glued" to the seat or backrest.
In the colder weather when you shiver, you are producing heat and the
dead air space acts to trap and re-circulate your own body heat.
Sheepskin is Mother Nature's Climate Control
Sheepskin used as a seat cover on a motorcycle
helps cut down on vibration and fatigue on long rides and protects the
saddle's leather or vinyl from damaging-drying ultra violet rays of the
sun. The leather side of sheepskin provides durability and the wool
fleece allows you to slide across the seat with little or no friction
when mounting and dismounting.

Sit On Sheepskin
Be it a Custom Sheepskin Seat Cover, a Universal Sheepskin Seat Cover, or a Sheepskin Pelt Seat Cover it makes too much sense not to ride without sheepskin on your seat!!
In warm weather the fleece of the sheepskin helps to cool you by allowing air circulation between you and your seat. This evaporates moisture quickly leaving you dryer, cooler and eliminating that sticky uncomfortable feeling.
In cold weather the wool of the sheepskin retains your own body heat. The sheepskin then acts as an insulator keeping you warm and protecting you from the cold seat.
Sheepskin has been utilized for years in Europe as a motorcycle seat cover not only for the above reasons, but also for the protection it affords your car's seat. The soft but dense texture of the wool allows you to slide onto your seat with less friction. The leather side of the sheepskin is durable and a good protector for your seat. The soft dense texture of the wool provides refreshing ease when getting on and off your bike as well as cushioning your ride. Constant rubbing across the seat shortens the life of the seat's upholstery.
➢ | Vacuum the seat cover. |
➣ | Brush the sheepskin portion of the seat cover with a wire brush (example: a dog brush) to keep the wool fibers separate and prevent matting. |
➢ | Blow compressed air into fleece to remove trapped dirt and dust after brushing. |
➢ | Spot clean any stains with soap and water as soon as possible after they occur. Air dry away from direct heat. |
➣ | Furrier dry cleaning is recommended for best results. |
